In Vedic period there were neither temples or idols.People of Vedic society gathered in one place (altar or prayer place) and express their dedication to the divine or God. Apart from this, they used to pray and worship God and natural elements through Yagya.

Shivaling's worship has started from the mythological period. After the worship of Shivling, the tradition of worshiping snakes and Yeksha began to grow in Hindu and Jainism.In Buddhism, after the widespread massacre of Buddha and Mahavira's idols, the Hindus started making idols of Rama and Krishna.

It is said in Yejurvaveda,He is fire, Aditya, air, moon and Venus & he is everywhere in universe and in water too. He can not be seen directly. He has no idol. His name is very great. He is widespread in all directions.

It is said in Kenopanishad, Whatever idol or abstract form of worship we worship, worship, prayer or meditation we do are not God and also not the form of God. People, animals, birds, streams, rivers, mountains, sky etc., what we are seeing, music, cloud thunder, sound of the river whatever we hear,  whatever we feel & realize from our senses, None of them is God. But by God, we get power to see, hear, smell, and respirate etc. Those who know thus consider the truthfulness of truth. This is the only true truth.

Clearly, according to Veda, neither is God's statue or idol, nor can he be seen directly. It is not mentioned into Veda, God live in statue or idol and can be seen directly.

For religious believers,Veda is the Constitution itself and other laws are law. Laws are disrupted automatically until the extent conflicts with the Constitution.

The Meaning Of The Temple

The meaning of the temple is - any place far away from Mind. The temple is also known as the doorway, like Ram doorway, Guru doorway, etc.The temple is also known as Aalay, like the Shiva_aalaya, Deva_Aalaya, etc. When we say that the temple is far away from the heart, then its meaning changes.

Definition of the temple

The worship place where worship or Mediate of formless God by living away from the mind is called temple. Just as we shuffle out the shoes before entering the temple, Similarly, mind and ego are left exit. Where the god is worshiped, it is called Devasthal or Devthan.Places of worship called worship place and  Places of prayer are called prayer place.Who know Vedas very well he know very well "God can be happy by praying but not by worshiping"

So Make Temple as Prayer Place.

According to Guru of Vedic sanatan Dharma, the temple where is collectively prayer and mediate are done at the same fixed in morning and evening time, is important. Even if the temple is idol worshiping,1000/500 people should be standing at once and prayed.
